![]() ™LOST IN TIME FAMILY GETAWAY MISSION STATEMENT Our mission is to create the ultimate nonprofit vacation getaway where folks can bring the entire family and get away from the hectic world we now live in. Too often we forget life is short and we ought to slow down and enjoy the simpler things in life God has given us. Families will enjoy visiting or staying on our 1,114 acre homestead. No motorized vehicles will be permitted or used on the property except the parking area and campsites. Rustic cabins nestled in the woods will only be accessible by horse and wagon or foot. Horse drawn equipment will take care of the property as well as give tours of the land and exotic/wild animals in the park. All the facilities will be in an 1800's style town just like in the old west. The homestead will give the appearance of being self contained from horse drawn wood and grain mills to a general store, restaurant, chapel, gift store, bank/ticket office, barber/dentist office, sheriff's office, dr. office/first aid office, and more. Part of the property will be set aside for a Christian camp geared toward youth. This will be a huge draw to youth who have the desire to learn about horses. Camps will teach youth how to care for and ride horses as well as get along with others. We want to reach as many youth as possible and we have a plan to serve at least 480 kids per year. Another integral part of the park is to give tours of the scenic countryside and drive into the Tennessee River on two of the only amphibious vehicles in the world designed to look like Noah's Ark. Along the way passengers will learn about the Tennessee River and the feasibility of the Ark as described in the book of Genesis. In the end passengers will have the knowledge to come to their own conclusion of the Ark's existence. It is our hope that everyone that visits will take a part of their experience and apply it to their own life. In the end it's not what we have or how fast we get it. What really matters is enjoying our short lives and taking every opportunity to acknowledge and obey God so that prayerfully others will be positively influenced by our actions. The only things we can take to heaven are those we lead to Christ. |
